MEALS AND NUTRITION

Our meals are provided by a commercial external catering company – Kids Gourmet Food. 

 

Kids Gourmet Food (KGF) was established in 2002 and is exclusively devoted to providing quality prepared meals to children aged from 4 months to 6 years.  KGF’s qualified chefs use premium quality, fresh, whole ingredients.  They supply a menu that is nutritionally balanced and designed using home style cooking techniques to create appropriate child friendly, healthy meals.  KGF is passionate about food education in the early years of a child’s development.  The importance for children to be exposed to diverse ingredients used in our Australian and multi-cultural cooking styles is reflected throughout the 6 week rotating menu.

 

KGF menus are designed to comply with the Australian Dietary Guidelines and they also meet ACECQA criteria.  Allergy, intolerance or cultural preference meal alternatives are available.

 

The KGF production kitchen follows a comprehensive HACCP based food safety program, with Australian Food Microbiology regularly assessing their processes and procedures ensuring effective management of food safety risks.

 

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is included in our daily fee rate.  A light snack will be offered to children still attending the centre at 5:30 pm.
